Windows Defender Gets a New Design With the arrival of Redstone 5

Microsoft Fluent Design has been the design language introduced by the American company in a gradual way to create a more friendly and eye-catching Windows 10 and the applications and functions integrated into the platform. A design that continues it’s slow but unstoppable expansion.

The last step, in the absence of seeing the expected update that we should have on hand in the first part of this year, takes Fluent Design to Windows Defender Security Center. An improvement that comes with the latest Build released for users of the Skip Ahead ring in the Insider Program for Windows 10.

These are users who can begin to test new developments that will come with Redstone 5, an update that should arrive by the end of 2018. And one of these new developments will affect the design that the center looks for the surveillance of the safety of our equipment.

With Redstone 5 we already see what the Windows Defender Security Center might look like. It highlights an improvement in the interface especially due to the arrival of color, both in the background and in the marked elements. Now the window will have the same colors that we have chosen to accentuate the details, giving to a certain extent a retro look to the Windows Defender box.

We are therefore waiting to see how Fluent Design continues to take shape and gradually extends to more fields within Windows. What I at least have clear, is that I do not finish liking this design, maybe a little off with that retro look and away from current trends. Are you convinced by the new aspect of Windows Defender?
