The new iPhone XS is all bad with displays

The owner of the device noticed the excessive “yellowness” of the matrix in the new iPhone. Most likely, he caught the apparatus without calibrating the screen.

The vigilant user of the iPhone XS has discovered another problem of the novelty. As it turned out, the new generation of Apple smartphones received either less quality or not calibrated OLED-matrices that lose to last year’s iPhone X.

The user under the name quitethewaysaway published a detailed post comparing the displays of the iPhone X and the iPhone XS. As the owner of the novelty notes, he had to change the device 6 times in the official store to arrive at the final conclusion. The main “diagnosis” of its comparison is that the iPhone XS has a “more yellow” display that does not display a normal white color. As a result, it turns out that the OLED matrix of the iPhone XS loses last year’s brightness in terms of brightness.

The difference is noticeable even in the True Tone mode, by which the colors on the screen become warmer to reduce the burden on the eyes.

Probably, the user got a lot with non-calibrated displays. This is quite possible if he changed all 6 devices in one store.

Also, there is not a dark color profile in the night mode. In the iPhone X this is a very dark gray color, and in the iPhone XS – light gray.

Some users in the comments report that there is no such effect. Perhaps, this effect is typical for the matrices of one of the manufacturers, with which Apple cooperates, LG and Samsung.
