The first image of the flagship Sony Xperia XZ3

In February this year, at the MWC exhibition, Sony introduced two top-level smartphones Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact, and a couple of months later announced a premium version of the flagship Xperia XZ2 Premium all in the same radically new design with more rounded edges and a convex rear panel. The most interesting thing is that the novelty has just recently been on sale, and the Japanese manufacturer is already preparing a new flagship Xperia XZ3, the first image of which has just been published on the Internet.

The revolution should not wait – the company abandoned the fashionable now chips, like a cutout on the screen and a dual camera. Judging by the render, the design of the Xperia XZ3 remains the same, the novelty looks identical to the XZ2. Unfortunately, the fingerprint sensor is again located in an unfortunate location on the back of the case – too low for the natural position of the finger.

According to rumors, Xperia XZ3 will receive an extended display with a diagonal of 5.7 inches with a resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels, a Snapdragon 845 chipset, a minimum of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. As for the camera, then there is a possible option with the latest sensor Sony IMX586 at 48 megapixels.

Xperia XZ3 should be submitted on August 30, the “zero” day of the exhibition IFA 2018. The motivation of the company in such a hurry to release the next generation of the flagship line in half a year after the announcement of the previous one is not quite clear. Moreover, we are unlikely to see any innovations here. Who knows, maybe Sony plans to surprise at MWC 2019?
