How to Switch Wi-Fi Networks from Control Center on iPhone & iPad

This new functionality is only available on iOS 13 / iPadOS 13 and later. But you need to remember your device is updated to the latest version of system software. However, if you’re using iPhone 8 or older, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Control Center. But, if you’re using an iPad or the latest iPhone, like the iPhone X or later, then swipe down to access Control Center. Step 1:

Firstly, access Control Center as usual on the iPhone or iPad.

In the Control Center, press and hold the Wi-Fi icon for enabling/disabling Airplane mode and Bluetooth. Remember, this is a long press and don’t force touch until Apple replaced 3D Touch with Haptic Touch on iOS 13.

Step 3:

Now, the top-left section would expand fill up your screen to uncover some toggles. You need to just press and hold the Wi-Fi toggle again. Same as you did in this earlier step.

Step 4:

The Control Center will now display you the list of available wi-fi networks you could just connect to. Select the network you like to switch to and provide it a few seconds to connect.

Step 5:

Once connected, you’ll view a mark right next to the wi-fi network you choose.

Now you should be able to access the internet from the latest selected wi-fi network and continue where you left off.

This is more convenient than what iOS and iPadOS users were familiar to. Because you don’t have to exit an app to switch Wi-Fi networks anymore. However, no more digging around in Settings just to modify wireless networks.

With that being said, this latest method needs some time to get used to. Especially if you were moving over to settings to modify networks so often that it has become a habit.
