Open GApps now officially supports Android 9 Pie

Irreplaceable alternative assemblies of applications and services Google can finally be downloaded for firmware based on Android Pie. If you know what the custom firmware for mobile devices running Android, you probably heard about Open GApps – the utility of the project with the same name, which sets a set of all the necessary applications and services of Google.

Last month, we reported that this software package received unofficial support for Android 9 Pie thanks to the efforts of the developers of the XDA forum. Today it became known that the project team released their first build for the latest version of Android. The update is compatible with ARM, ARM64, x86, x86-64 architectures.

The advantage of Open GApps is several individual versions of the installation package, from the smallest, including only Google Play and related services, to the maximum containing almost all Google applications.
