Compatibility:
This Android 10 based Lineage OS 17 ROM is only for OnePlus 6. Flashing this unofficial custom ROM on any other device or variant will cause permanent damage or bricked phones.
Pre-Requisites:
- Make sure charge your phone at least 50% before going further.
- Take backup to your contacts, messages, apps, call logs, notes, etc. This is necessary as everything gets deleted in this flashing process.
- Install the latest OnePlus USB drivers on your PC so as to detect your mobile when connected through USB cable.
Download OnePlus 6 USB drivers.

- It is necessary to root Android phones.
After implementing everything as given above, let’s check the OnePlus 6 Android 10 ROM installation tutorial.
Steps To Install LineageOS 17 ROM on OnePlus 6:
Step 1:
Download LineageOS 17 ROM.
Step 2:
Download GApps
Note: Do NOT extract both of these zip files.
Step 3:
Now connect your phone to PC and copy both the downloaded zip files on your internal storage.
Note: If you don’t have a PC, then you can directly download the zip files on your phone.
Step 4:
Power off OnePlus 6 and boot it into TWRP recovery mode.
Step 5:
For doing that, press and hold the Volume Up + Power button simultaneously. When you see the TWRP logo leave both the keys.
Note: If you are not able to boot Android phones into recovery, use the Reboot Recovery app from Google Play Store.
This is how you can restart OnePlus 6 into TWRP recovery mode.
Step 6:
When you boot into TWRP, take Nandroid backup. Make sure this Nandroid backup is the backup of your entire Android OS. Refer our guide:

Step 7:
After taking a backup, click the Wipe option present on the main screen.
Step 8:
Then simply swipe right to start the wiping process.
Note: This step will delete your entire phone data. Make sure to take a backup before doing this step.
Step 9:
Go back to the main screen and again select the Wipe option.
Step 10:
Then choose the Advanced Wipe option.
Step 11:
Now just select Dalvik / ART cache, System, Data and cache partitions.
Note: Do NOT tick any other partitions.
Step 12:
Just swipe right to start the wiping process and start the OnePlus 6 LineageOS 17 ROM flashing process now.
Step 13:
To do this choose the Install option from the main screen. This will show you all the files present on your mobile.
Step 14:
Simply select the LineageOS 17 ROM zip file which you’ve downloaded earlier. On the next screen, swipe right to start the OnePlus 6 Lineage OS ROM installation process.
Wait and Calm down until the flashing completes. A successful message will appear as soon as it completes.
Step 15:
Similarly, flash the Google Apps (GApps) zip package file which you’ve downloaded earlier.
Step 16:
Finally, everything completes now. In order to restart your mobile, select the Reboot » System option.
Note: The first boot will take more time to start than usual. But it’ll be normal after a couple of boots.
