How many people you can view on BlueJeans
While Zoom enables you to view up to 49 members on a single screen. However, users on BlueJeans can only view round about 9 members of a group video call at the same time. It means that by default BlueJeans’ layout will make it difficult to follow through if you’re a big enterprise or if your classroom as a large group of students. That’s due to, with just 4 active users displayed on the screen. Also, its quite difficult to keep a record of who’s speaking during a video conference.
How to modify screen layouts in a meeting on BlueJeans
You can also modify the layout of the members shown on your screen by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Initially, open the BlueJeans app on your computer and join a meeting.
Step 2:
Head over the meeting screen, tap on the ‘Settings’ button on the top right.
Step 3:
In the Settings icon, tap on the layout that you want to use.
Speaker view: This layout offers a full-screen view of an active speaker or a presentation. During a meeting, the speaker will take up the whole screen.
People view: People’s views will display the active speaker at the top with a large screen. But still, there’s some space at the bottom for viewing up to 5 other members. These five members will be shown according to who last spoke during the meeting session.
Gallery view: When you select Gallery view, you can view up to 9 members in a grid format. These all 9 boxes will be equally sized and will display members who spoke during the meeting.
How to view all members in BlueJeans
BlueJeans also host Standard meetings up to 25 simultaneous connections in one session. However, 25 members in a meeting, you can only see 9 participants who last spoke during the meeting.
On PC
Step 1:
Initially, join a meeting on BlueJeans on the computer.
Step 2:
On the screen, tap on the ‘Settings’ button located on the top right.
Step 3:
Tap on the Gallery view. This will display a video feed of 9 members who spoke last during the meeting.
On Mobile
Step 1:
On the meeting screen, click on the 3-dot icon at the bottom.
Step 2:
Click on the layout choice at the bottom (People view will be selected by default).
Step 3:
Choose ‘Gallery View’ from the popup menu to move view as many members as you can on BlueJeans.
How to force the same screen layout for all members
If you’re the BlueJeans meeting moderator, then simply push the same screen layout to all members. You can do so by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Head over to the meeting screen, tap the Participants/ Members tab.
Step 2:
Tap the ‘Moderator Controls’ at the bottom and choose one of the 3 layout views you like to push to everyone. Then confirm the modification by tapping ‘Yes, change it’.
