Back up using Android sync
Step 1:
Open Settings.
Step 2:
Visit the System.
Step 3:
Click on Backup.
Step 4:
Toggle the ‘Back up to Google Drive‘ switch to ON.

Click on Accounts.
Step 7:
Click on your Google account.
Step 8:
Click on Account sync.

Export VCF using Contacts app
Step 1:
Firstly, open the Contacts app.
Step 2:
Now click the hamburger menu at the top left.

Under the ‘Manage contacts‘ section, click on Export.

Grant permission to the Contacts app by clicking Allow.

Select the destination where you want your contact backup saved.
- Downloads folder: By default, the Downloads folder appears to save the contacts in VCF format. Clicking on Save will then store the VCF file in this folder.
- Another folder on the phone: If you do not want to save the file in the Downloads folder, you can then change that by clicking the 3-dot menu at the top right and choosing Show Internal Storage. From there, you can click on the hamburger icon at the top left, navigate to the location you want to save the file to and tap the Save button at the bottom right.
- Google Drive: Except for storing the contacts backup locally, simply save the file online and what better way to do it than on Google Drive. Click on the hamburger menu on the top left and select Drive. Now navigate to the desired location on Google Drive and click on Save.
While these two methods from above can work perfectly. You can also select a third-party app to back up all your contacts if you forgot the password to your Google account.
Back up using Super Backup & Restore
Step 1:
Simply download and install the Super Backup & Restore app from Google Play.
Step 2:
Then Open Super Backup & Restore.
Step 3:
Allow storage permissions to the app by clicking on Allow.
Step 4:
Click on the 3-dot menu at the top right.
Step 5:
Press Settings.
Step 6:
Click on the Backup path.
Step 7:
Choose the path of the folder you want to backup your contacts to.

Look at the app’s main screen.

Click on Contacts. A prompt appears asking you to grant access to your contact list.

Step 1:
Firstly, Download and install the Contact Backup app from Google Play.
Step 2:
Then Open Contact Backup.

On the app’s home screen, choose Backup.
Step 4:
Allow the app contacts permission by clicking on Allow. In the next screen, you will be given options for how you want to save the contact info.
Step 5:
Choose where you want to save the contacts by selecting an option from Backup Destination:
- Email: Emailing the backup can only be done when the backup is saved in VCF format.
- Device Memory: By choosing the Device memory as your backup destination, you can save the contacts backup within the internal/external storage of your phone. Choosing this choice lets you save contacts in PDF format in addition to the VCF option.
- Print: By checking the Print box, you can directly print a list of your contacts and the output file will be saved as PDF.
Step 6:
Click on the Backup button at the bottom.

Allow the app storage permission by clicking on Allow.

If you want to send the contacts to another device by email or SMS, then do this:
- Head back to the app’s home screen.

Samsung’s Contacts App
Step 1:
firstly, open Samsung’s Contacts app.
Step 2:
Click on the 3-dot menu at the top right.

Click on Manage Contacts.

Step 5:
Click on Export.
