Now developers with Windows-based computers based on AMD will be able to squeeze the potential from the emulator of the “green robot” in Android Studio.
Google released a new version of Android Studio, the key change in which was the optimization of the built-in emulator “green robot” for devices on Windows with AMD processors. Also, the emulator finally worked on computers with Hyper-V – a hardware visualization system based on the Virtual Machine Monitor.
As Google reported in the official blog, one of the main goals of the developers of Android Studio was and there is the improvement of the Android emulator. The “good corporation” has always striven to make this program so fast and productive that application developers do not have to use real devices for testing programs. In extreme updates, Google has significantly improved the speed of the Android emulator, but it only appeared in Android Studio for Mac and Linux, as well as on Windows computers with Intel processors. Now the developers have optimized the emulator for computers based on a platform from Microsoft with AMD processors.
