FUJIFILM unveils a new mirrorless X-T3 camera


The novelty can boast of video recording in 4K/60p resolution and serial shooting up to 30 frames per second. FUJIFILM company announced the release of X-T3 – a new mirrorless digital camera line X Series with a unique color rendering technology to achieve better image quality in photo and video.

The FUJIFILM X-T3 model received a new X-Trans CMOS 4 backlit APS-C matrix with 26.1-megapixel resolution, which has a high signal-to-noise ratio and a low ISO160 sensitivity. Also, the performance of a hybrid autofocusing system in low light was increased by 1.5 times and the tracking function of fast moving objects was improved.



The device is equipped with a four-core image processor X-Processor 4, which was first installed in mirror-free cameras with a matrix of APS-C size. He almost instantly reacts to all the tasks of image processing, performing at the same time and such complex functions as Color Chrome for getting deeper colors and tonal transitions, as well as “Monochrome toning” to achieve the effect of warm black and cold black tone in digital format.


Controls & Design:

The FUJIFILM X-T3 camera is equipped with an electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 3.69 million pixels and a new mode of Sports Finder, which makes it easy to carry out a serial shooting of moving objects at a speed of up to 30 frames per second. As for the design, the device inherited a convenient form of coverage and the layout of the main controls that was familiar with the previous model.

There is a rotatable 3-inch touchscreen display with a wider viewing angle, electronic and mechanical shutters, analog control of exposure and photosensitivity, a hot shoe for connecting an external flash and accessories. Other connections include headphone and microphone jacks, two UHS-II SD card slots, micro-HDMI and USB Type-C ports. All of them are neatly located under the removable cover on the left side of the camera.

FUJIFILM X-T3 – the world’s first mirrorless camera with the ability to record video to the SD-card in 4K resolution at a rate of 60 frames per second, 10-bit color depth and correspondingly output such a format via HDMI. Video recording can be performed using H.264 / MPEG-4 AVC and H.265 / HEVC codecs.
