Branded emoticons with a “flattened” design from the search giant are available as stickers in the keyboard application.
Last year, Google decided to radically rework Emoji’s smiley design for the new Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. This was the first time that Android completely repainted emoji since the introduction of popular, but for many ugly branded “droplets” in Android 4.4 KitKat. Then everyone thought that finally, the search giant had got rid of the so-called Blobmoji, but, apparently, this is far from the end of their existence.

In its official Twitter account, Google announced the release of a new set of stickers for the Gboard keyboard. Animated stickers are made in style, as you might think, those Blobmoji that the company refused a year ago. The set is available in applications for Android and iOS and can be added from the “Stickers” tab through the menu of the Emoji keys.
“Some things change, something remains immortalized in stickers. These classic emoticons are able to please us forever, “- from the description of a set of stickers Blobmoji”
Gboard stickers work equally well in most messengers, whether it’s Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter or “Android Messages”. If you are a fan of classic emoji-drops from Google, then fresh stickers with your favorite emoticons can already be downloaded in the keyboard application.
