And arriving on a wide range of smart TVs from manufacturers like Samsung, LG, and Vizio. But streaming devices aren’t being left out of the mix.

The official Apple TV app is now rolling out to the Amazon’s Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K. It means that customers will be able to not only watch their purchased iTunes movies and TV shows, but they’ll also be able to use Apple TV Channel subscriptions. Most importantly for Apple, watch Apple TV+ content once that goes live on November 1.
For owners of either streaming stick, you can find the new Apple TV app by searching “Apple TV” in the app store. Or you can just say, “Alexa, find the Apple TV app” to have the digital assistant handle the search.

Fire TV Basic Edition customers in over 50 countries can also find the Apple TV app in the Amazon Appstore on their Fire TV. The app will be coming soon to Fire TV Cube (1st and 2nd Gen), Toshiba, Fire TV (3rd Gen pendant design), Insignia Fire TV Edition smart TVs and Nebula soundbar. The Apple TV app is not compatible with Fire TV (1st and 2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick (1st Gen). This latest batch of news comes hot on the heels of the Apple TV app launching on select Roku devices last week.
Apple TV app injects more features, and built-in subscription options from premium networks like HBO, Showtime, and others. More than that, though, the company wants more people subscribing to Apple TV+, which, as mentioned above, will launch on November 1.
When it does arrive the service will cost $4.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial attached for folks to give it a shot before they decide to subscribe. And it’s worth noting that anyone who has purchased a new Apple device that can stream Apple TV+ as of mid-September will get a year’s worth of Apple TV+ at no additional cost.
