How to Adjust the Character Spacing in Pages
Choose the text in your document that you want to change the character spacing for. You can double-tap, drag through it with your cursor, or choose it all by hitting Control + A.
Step 1:
Tap the Format button on the top right of the Pages window.

Also, In the sidebar that opens, under Font, tap the Show advanced options button (gear icon).
Step 3:
Now, use the arrows to change the Character Spacing. As you tap the arrows up or down, you can view your text automatically adjust. You can also input a particular number for the percentage if you prefer.
Optionally, you can also change the Baseline Shift directly below Character Spacing to add more space below the selected font.
